BANGALORE: An 81-year-old retired public sector company employee, who is said to be a practitioner of black magic, was found murdered on Veerasagara Road at Dobbespet near Nelamangala on Tuesday.

The police said the assailants had performed black magic before hitting his head with a hammer. They might have brought him to the spot in search of some treasure, they added.

M Nagaraju, a resident of Siddapura near Lalbagh, was an employee in Indian Telephone Industries (ITI) and after his retirement, he was worshiping a goddess, the police said.

The incident came to light around 8.30 am when a passerby noticed the body lying in a pool of blood next to an estate and informed the police. Dobbespet police are looking out for the  accused.
