1 Injured as Pillar Crushes Car

BANGALORE: A 20-year-old passenger was severely injured after a concrete pillar erected on the roadside fell on his speeding car on KH Road in Shanti Nagar on Monday morning.

The injured has been identified as Ayush Choudhary, a resident of Yediyur, near Jayanagar 7th Block.

Police said the accident took place at 4.30 am and the car was being driven by Himanshu, the victim’s friend. Himanshu is said to have brushed the car against a seven-ft-tall pillar while taking a turn, causing it to crash on the vehicle.

Ayush sustained some injuries and was rushed to a private hospital where he was treated and later, discharged.
