Here's a Juicy Bit of News, You can Order a Glassful with Just a Click

Savad, through this juice centre, offers options for specific needs – to reduce fat, improve complexion or regulate body heat

BENGALURU :We all know that juices are healthy  – they make us glow, strengthen us and are good for gastric health. And at Savad PK's Juice Maker, there are juices for specific needs – weight loss, skincare, etc. “Most of my customers are women who want to lose weight and have a healthy skin,” says Savad who hails from Kerala.

He started an offline store two and a half year ago. “I started with normal fresh and vegetable juices. After some time, I realised that a lot of people look for juices for different reasons. That is when I decided to tailor juices for a specific purpose.” Savad has more than 450 daily subscribers now.

For weight loss, he suggests pineapple and cucumber mint juice. If a customer wants to improve skin texture and moisture and reduce body heat, he suggests orange cucumber juice. Their apple, cucumber and kiwi juice can improve skin complexion, he says. He has a juice for people with kidney problems too – orange apple and watermelon juice. “People who work for various startups, IT sector and gym ming enthusiasts form majority of my subscribers,” he shares.

Savad came to Bengaluru and started the juice centre as a social experiment. Keeping in mind the growing demands the Savad, who is the CEO of the juice joint, came up with a unique feature of delivering healthy juices to his customers’ homes or offices. He has also introduced weekly and monthly subscriptions to make it easy for the ones who like to have it everyday. Ever since, Juice Maker has become a trend among Bengalurueans.

He gives digital media the credit for getting him so many customers. “I realised the potential of the online medium and collaborated with few platforms like zomato, lookup about two months ago. Healthy juices has a huge market. We don’t use any preservatives and sugar in the juices,” says Savad.

Lookup was the first platform they collaborated with. “Approximately 80-100 daily orders started coming via chat on Lookup along with 115 ‘daily juice’ subscribers. People have now started replacing tea and coffee with juices. They get 200 to 250 new subscriptions a month,” says Deepak Ravindran, CEO, Lookup.

The services were just concentrated to Koramangala and BTM layout but now has been extended to the other parts of the city as well. He gets maximum orders from Koramangala, HSR Layout and Indiranagar.

To make ordering juice easy, Savad is planning to come up with a new version of his website very soon. “We will suggest juices for people with specific needs and also mention the nutritional content and calorie count of different juices. We will also launch an andriod app by the end of this year,” he says.

Along with the website, they will also create a healthy platform for customers where their nutritionist will suggest diet plans for customers.

People can visit the website, select the juice they want to and also specify the days and time they want it delivered. They can also opt for corporate or family packages. The price range of his juices is between Rs 35 and Rs 75.
