We Teach Students to be Lifelong Learners

Yatish English High School at Srinagar was founded by R Kapani Gowda in the year 2011. The school, run under the umbrella of the Yatish Educational Trust, believes in providing quality education to underprivileged children at an affordable cost.

The school’s vision is to nurture responsible citizens of tomorrow and inculcate confidence, commitment, empathy and the value of relationships in children so that they can lead a healthy life in the real world.

Yatish High School works to inspire each student to achieve high academic standards. The school nurtures individual skills so that students become lifelong learners and imbibe a sense of national pride with global smarts.

“The idea is to create a centre of excellence  which promotes an international perspective and yet upholds cultural values, believes in acquiring and sharing knowledge whilst setting new standards of educational practices to create responsible members of the society,” says Kapani Gowda.

The teacher-student ratio in the school is 1:25 and the teaching staff is well-qualified, experienced and well-trained.

The school also identifies weak students and conducts remedial classes in the morning and evening, before and after teaching hours, without charging any extra fee.

The school provides daily newspapers to students and conducts tests on current affairs every week. This ensures that the students read the newspaper every day.

Yoga and Karate classes are also conducted once a week as part of their curriculum. The school identifies the individual talent of each child in co-curricular activities and supports and encourages students by funding activities at district and state level.

On days of national significance and religious festivals, students are informed of the relevance of the special day in the assembly and special events are also conducted.

The school also conducts a special SSLC coaching programme as climbing the SSLC rung has vital importance for students.

“The 10th standard result plays a crucial role in the students’ admission in reputed colleges and hence the emphasis on proper training. Our results speak for themselves,” says Kapani Gowda.
