Four Murder Accused Nabbed

BENGALURU: Mahalakshmi Layout police on Tuesday said they have solved a murder case with the arrest of four men within 24 hours of the incident being reported.

The victim, who had an illicit affair with the wife of the prime accused, was bludgeoned to death by the gang in a moving Tempo Traveller passenger vehicle.

The accused, Krishnamurthy alias Kitty and Nagaraju, residents of Kottigepalya, and Mahesh alias Appi of Peenya and Rudresh of Gubbi in Tumkur were all tempo drivers by profession.

Police said the accused were absconding after murdering Hemanth (27), a resident of ITI Layout in Jnana Bharathi. During interrogation, police learnt that Hemanth had an illicit affair with Krishnamurthy’s wife and had borrowed money from her on several occasions. Krishnamurthy, who came to know of this, decided to eliminate Hemanth. He hatched a plan along with three of his friends.

The accused were traced by tracking their mobile phones.
