Bodies of 2 Murder Victims Found

BENGALURU: The partially burnt bodies of two men, who were murdered, were found in the Savanadurga forest near Subbayyanapalya village in Magadi taluk on Tuesday.

Police say the assailants had set fire to the bodies after murdering them. The identities of the victims, who are said to be aged about 20 to 25, are yet to be established.

Police said a villager, Chinnegowda, found the bodies early on Tuesday and alerted the police.

A police officer said the assailants stabbed them somewhere else and then dumped the bodies in the forest. They set fire to the bodies with petrol and tyre to destroy the identity. The incident took place a few days ago and the bodies were decomposed. DNA samples of the deceased have been collected.
