BBMP to Hold Rally Against Diseases

According to a Health Department report, of the 3,366 dengue cases that have been reported from throughout the state since January, 1,096 were in BBMP limits.

BENGALURU:Following an increase in the number of dengue and chikungunya cases in the city, Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is organising an awareness rally on the diseases in Bengaluru East on Thursday.

According to a Health Department report, of the 3,366 dengue cases that have been reported from throughout the state since January, 1,096 were in BBMP limits. Bengaluru Urban alone witnessed 243 cases of dengue.

Of the 1,321 chikungunya cases reported in Karnataka since January, 367 were in BBMP limits.

When and Where?

The department will start the rally from H M T Grounds in RT Nagar at 9 am on Thursday, in which students from various schools and colleges and BBMP officials will participate.
