BENGALURU:Two persons, involved in issuing Yashaswini cards illegally, were arrested by the Fraud and Misappropriation Squad of Central Crime Branch on Thursday. The arrested have been identified as Radhakrishna (62), a resident of Chikkatogur Gate and Murugesh (31), Samandur vilage, Anekal Taluk.
According to police officials, the accused Murugesh was working as secretary of Hennagara Agricultural Co-operative Bank in Anekal taluk. He was providing the other accused with the blank Yashaswini cards. Radha Krishna used to take Rs 4-5,000 from the aspirants. The accused also used fake rubber stamps of the bank.
The accused used to pay the government a part of the amount Rs 250 by putting it into the association’s account and used to keep rest of the money.
