Woman Loses Ornaments Worth Rs 30 Lakh

BENGALURU:  A woman passenger who travelled to Kochi from the city recently has complained that she was relieved of `30 lakh worth of gold and diamond ornaments.

According to the complaint, Nirmala James, a resident of Frazer Town, was on her way to Kochi from Bengaluru on August 28. Upon reaching Kochi, she realised that the ornaments in her bag were missing.

Despite an intensive search, she could not trace her valuables.

Thinking that she may have left the ornaments at home and had not carried them to the airport, Nirmala called her daughter Megha to check if the valuables were at home.

However, Megha informed her that she couldn’t find the ornaments in the house. Complaint With Airport Police On Saturday, Megha approached the Kempegowda International Airport police station and registered a complaint.

Police said they will check CCTV footage to see if the ornaments were stolen or misplaced.

When contacted, airport authorities declined to comment stating that it was a police matter.
