BENGALURU:  Two policemen, including an assistant sub-inspector Seenaiah and constable Chennaiah, attached to Upparpet traffic police station, have been suspended for dereliction of duty on Tuesday.

A senior police officer said that on Sunday, the duo was deployed at the Coffee Board junction in Yelahanka on special duty. Traffic at the junction was heavy due to waterlogging after the rain.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic West) S Girish, who was on his rounds along with other officers, found Seenaiah and Chennaiah relaxing in a corner instead of clearing traffic.
