BENGALURU: Seven faculty members from the Indian Institute of Science have been honoured by the Indian National Academy of Engineering. Out of the seven, five have been elected as fellows of the Academy and rest were chosen for the INAE Young Engineer Award.
The IISc faculty elected as fellows of the Academy are: Sunil Chandran, Associate Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Automation; Anindya Deb, Professor, Centre for Product Design & Manufacturing; Bharadwaj Amrutur, Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical Communication Engineering Bikramjit Basu, Associate Professor, Material Research Centre; D D Sarma, professor and chairman, Solid State & Structural Chemistry Unit.
Suryasarathi Bose, Assistant Professor, Department of Materials Engineering. and Gurunath Gurrala, Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering were chosen for the young engineer award.
