City Gets a Floating Restaurant

BENGALURU: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday inaugurated an eco friendly restaurant called Golden Pearl - The Floating Restaurant, floating at Nagawara lake.

The owners say that all measures have been taken to maintain an eco-friendly environment.

The restaurant gets 90 per cent of its power from solar energy.

The management has made it a point to not install any engine to the floater to avoid any pollution.

A jetty has been provided for the people to walk to the boat.

No toilets are available on board and even wash basins have been avoided so that the lake water remains fresh.
