Gifted with creativity and armed with a degree in graphic design and with seven years of industry experience, designer Ritika decided it was time she started creating things she truly loved. “This was something I’ve always wanted to do and in August 2014, Paperville was born," says she.
Stationery has always been a guilty pleasure for Ritika. Ever since she was really young, she used to write letters to her grandma. She has always loved giving and receiving beautifully wrapped gifts with message cards. “I’ve always believed that nothing can be more meaningful than a handwritten note. There’s something so special about opening an envelope and finding a note inside written especially for you,” states this young entrepreneur.
Ritika feels that with technology today, people seem to forget that the whole idea of giving gifts is about keeping it personal. So Paperville is her small way of keeping the tradition alive. Inspired by patterns in our daily lives, whether it is in floor tiles, architecture and shapes found in nature or even daily objects, Rikita’s aesthetic sensibility has always been leaning towards stark lines and bold colours.
