Gang of 5 Attacks Man IN Yeshwanthpur

A gang of five men attacked a 30-year-old man with sharp weapons in front of Karle Garments in Yeshwanthpur.

BENGALURU:A gang of five men attacked a 30-year-old man with sharp weapons in front of Karle Garments in Yeshwanthpur around 2.15 am on Sunday.

The injured Naveen, a resident of JC Nagar, is a supervisor in a tele-service company on Queen’s Road.

Naveen collapsed due to bleeding in the stomach and a security guard of the garment factory alerted the police. Yeshwanthpur police rushed to spot and took Naveen to a private hospital where he is said to be out of danger. 

19-year-old Killed in Accident

A 19-year-old newspaper distributor died after a milk truck ran him over at Adugodi near Mico factory on Sunday.  The deceased Kiran was a resident of Jayanagar. Police said the accident occurred around 5.30 am when Kiran was distributing newspapers near the government school. The milk truck was being driven in a reckless manner. It hit his bike, killing him on the spot.

Six Cars Gutted in Garage Fire

Six cars were gutted after a fire broke out in a garage in D J Halli in the early hours of Sunday. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, police said.

The incident took place around 4.30 am. Police said the fire broke out in an open area in the garage located in L R Bande.

Passersby alerted fire and emergency personnel, who rushed to the spot and doused the fire after a one-and-a-half -hour operation.

The cars were parked in the garage for repair. D J Halli police have obtained CCTV footage to ascertain if there were any suspicious movements or if it was an accident.

Woman Robbed of Gold Chain

Bike-borne men snatched a gold chain from a woman in Chandra Layout on Sunday morning.

According to police, Saraswathi was cleaning the front yard of her house when two men approached her. One of them got off the two-wheeler on the pretext of inquiring about an address and snatched her chain weighing 80 gm.

Vehicles Vandalised

Bengaluru: Three vehicles were vandalised in Chandra Layout police station limits on Saturday night. Police suspect that miscreants vandalised two cars and one Tata Ace tempo after immersion of Ganesha idols in nearby areas.
