BENGALURU: A 32-year-old labourer died when the wall adjacent to an under-construction residential building collapsed on him in Moodalapalya on Nagarbhavi Road on Tuesday.
The deceased Hanumanthappa, hailing from Raichur, was a resident of Vijaynagar.
According to police, Hanumanthappa, his wife and other labourers were working at the site around 2.30 pm. He was digging the foundation for the building when the wall collapsed on him, burying him alive. His wife noticed this and started screaming, and other workers alerted the fire personnel. They recovered the body and Vijaynagar police sent it for autopsy.
A case of negligence was filed against the building owner and the contractor.
