Red Wine Poached Pear

A simple dessert recipe that can change the way you indulge yourself

Ingredients

  •   Red wine 5oo ml
  •   Bartlett pear 2
  •   Arugula lettuce 200 gm mixed with lemon vinaigrette dressing (25 ml)

Method

  •   Peel and core the pears 
  •   Cut into half
  •    Pour red wine into a pan and soak pears in it
  •    Keep it cooking on very slow flame (poaching) till pear gets tender from inside
  •    Let it cool, slice thin and place it on arugula lettuce

Ingredients for dressing

  •   Blue cheese 50 gm
  •   Sour cream 200 ml
  •   Salt a few pinches

METHOD

  •   Crumble blue cheese very fine
  •    Take sour cream in a bowl and mix it with blue cheese seasoning and drizzle it on top of the pear slices.
