Sari Expo Concludes Tomorrow

QUEEN’S ROAD:An exhibition-cum-sale of cotton saris organised by the Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India to promote Indian handlooms and handicrafts will conclude on Thursday. It is being held at the corporation’s showroom in BDA Commercial Complex, HSR Layout.

EXPO.jpgOn display are Bagru- and Dabu-printed mulmul cottons, Chanderi and Kota saris from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, Narayanpet and Mangalgiri cottons from Andhra, Banaras silk cotton saris with elaborate pallus and matching blouses, Kolkata cotton from West Bengal, cotton, Chettinadu and silk saris from Tamil Nadu and block-printed cottons from Kerala. The exhibition also includes a wedding sari collection.
