Trains to Chennai from city will not run today

BENGALURU: Due to the cyclone and inclement weather conditions in Chennai, the following trains scheduled to run on Tuesday (Dec 13) stand cancelled: Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) (Bengaluru) Station - Chennai Lalbagh Express (Train No.12608) scheduled to leave at 6.30 am; the KSR (Bengaluru) Station - Chennai Express (Train No.12610)  scheduled to leave Bengaluru at 8 am.

According to an official release, the  KSR (Bengaluru) Station - Patliputra Sanghmitra Express (Train No.12295) that commenced its journey at Bengaluru on Monday (Dec 12) is running via the diverted route of Krishnarajapuram, Yelhanka, Dharmavaram instead of Jollarpettai, Chennai, Gudur.Meanwhile, these trains scheduled to arrive at Bengaluru from Chennai on Tuesday will also be cancelled: Chennai - Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna (Bengaluru) Station Double Decker Express (Train No.22625) scheduled to leave Chennai at 7.25 am;  Chennai - Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna(Bengaluru) Station Brindavan Express (Train No.12639) scheduled to leave Chennai at 7.50 am has been cancelled.

Monday cancellations
Monday also witnessed the cancellation of trains from Bengaluru to Chennai: KSR- Chennai Double Decker Express scheduled to leave Bengaluru Station at 2.30 pm; KSR - Chennai Brindavan Express scheduled to leave KSR at 3 pm was cancelled; the Chennai - KSR-Shatabdi Express scheduled to depart from Chennai at 5.30 pm was cancelled. There was a partial cancellation of the  Mysuru- Chennai Shatabdi Express scheduled to leave at 4.25 pm.
