State Bank of Mysore cashier commits suicide in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: A State Bank of Mysore (SBM) employee committed suicide at his residence in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Raviraj, 57, was a head cashier at the SBM branch on Mysore Road in Bengaluru. Police said he hanged himself at 10 am this morning when his wife had gone for a walk and their sons to college. The reason is not known.

The man’s brother Gopalraj said he saw Raviraj at around 8 am when he had just come back from his morning jog. He prepared coffee for his children. “On Tuesday night, we watched television till 11.45 in the night before he went to sleep. He was his usual self,” said Gopalraj.

The Viveknagar police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating the case.
