BENGALURU: Hallmark of any leader or a product is their “adaptability”. Not flexibility. Flexible is a short-term measure that make win your today and lose your tomorrows.

Around a year ago when SabRentKaro was on the drawing board, our vision, objectives, and processes were set. We planned to be in the e-commerce market place offering renting as an alternative to buying and selling.

Within few months of launch, the idea was accepted and was gaining traction but at a slower pace than we expected or liked. We kept our ears to the ground and heard what the market was dictating.
Few good deals and we quickly adopted and adapted our model to the opportunities around us.

Our Shortcoming: being resistive and stubborn to our core idea of rental market place. Our learning: adapt your idea to the opportunities and do not forget your core idea or proposition. Learn fast, adapt fast and you win. As an entrepreneur, while staying true to the core of your idea is important, but even more important is to keep your idea relevant to the market.

Raj Sivaraju, Founder & CEO of  SabRentKaro.com, a shared e-commerce market place that works on the principle of reduce, recycle, reuse and rent. It is now pioneering Rent2Own concept.
