BENGALURU: A 26-year-old woman, riding pillion on a two-wheeler, died on the spot after she came under the wheels of a lorry on Sulibele Road in Devanahalli town on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased is Nirmala, wife of Shantakumar. The accident occurred around 2.30pm. Nirmala and her husband were on a two-wheeler when a lorry hit their vehicle from behind. Shantakumar fell on the side of the road while Nirmala came under the wheels of the lorry.
A passerby rushed Nirmala and Shantakumar to Akash Hospital where the doctors declared that Nirmala was brought dead. Shantakumar sustained minor injuries and is said to be out of danger.
