BWSSB pipeline works stall traffic on Hosur, Bannerghatta roads

Commuters travelling on Hosur Road and Bannerghatta Road have been battling dust and traffic as pipeline works have been going on for the past one week.

BENGALURU: Commuters travelling on Hosur Road and Bannerghatta Road have been battling dust and traffic as pipeline works have been going on for the past one week.

Traffic on nearby roads too have been affected, especially during peak hours, ever since Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewage Board (BWSSB) took up work on sewage pipelines.

Vehicles that earlier plied on wide roads towards Hosur Road and Banneghatta Road via Adugodi junction are now forced to take narrow lanes of Potalappa Garden and other roads. Police have made Adugodi, Mico Bande, Anepalya junctions signal free to ease traffic flow but vehicles continue to move at a snail’s pace.

Traffic movement on Mico Link Road, Mico Bande signal junction, Anepalya Junction and Bannerghatta Road have been hit badly. Traffic movement from Adugodi signal to Potalappa Garden has been restricted.

A BWSSB official said that the works may take another 15 days to complete.
