Bangalore Development Authority draws a crowd as it allots flats on same day as application

A total of 2,705 flats are up for sale in Valagerahalli, Alur, Malagala, Kanminike, Komaghatta and Doddabahanalli.

BENGALURU: The Bangalore Development Authority's (BDAs) 'Across the Table' scheme for distribution of flats generated much enthusiasm among potential buyers. People began to enter BDA at 9 am to benefit from this offer which was launched at 12.30 pm.

It is the first time in BDA's history that they are allotting flats on the same day as applying for it.

A total of 2,705 flats are up for sale in Valagerahalli, Alur, Malagala, Kanminike, Komaghatta and Doddabahanalli.

BDA Commissioner Rakesh Singh said, "We expected a good response but this was much better than what we hoped for."

The Canara Bank on the BDA premises was packed as buyers had to remit the application and registration forms with it.

Nearly 200 applications were sold by 2 pm, said bank manager Raghavendra N Rao.
