ACB raids 11 govt officials across state for illegal assets

The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Wednesday conducted  simultaneous raid on the offices as well as residences of 11 government  officials across the state.

BENGALURU: The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Wednesday conducted  simultaneous raid on the offices as well as residences of 11 government  officials across the state.According to a statement issued by ACB, the premises of officials in different districts were raided as they allegedly possessed assets disproportionate to their known sources of  income.

The search was still going on at the time of going to the press and the total value of  disproportionate assets possessed by each official will be known only on Thursday after completion of the search.
The officials whose premises were raided by ACB are: S Pashavali, Commissioner, Vijayanagara Area Development Authority, Ballari; H B Mallappa, Executive Engineer, Minor Irrigation, Kalaburagi; Francis Paul Miranda, Assistant Director, Agriculture Department, Bantwal; G C Jagadeesh, Assistant Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Koratagere; D Hemanth, Assistant Executive Engineer, Minor Irrigation, Chikkaballapur; S M Vasanna, Joint Director, Factory and Boilers, Bengaluru; M C Shashikumar, Joint Director, Directorate of Town and Country Planning, Bengaluru; J V Thygaraj, Assistant Engineer, BBMP; Chandrahasa, Executive Engineer, Zilla Panchayat, Mandya; Pandurang Keshav Pai, Assistant Conservator of Forests, Ankola, Uttara Kannada district and Suresh Bheema Naika, Assistant Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Kittur, Belagavi.
