KSRTC to operate 450 extra buses for Maha Shivaratri

In view of the Maha Shivaratri festival on Saturday, KSRTC has made elaborate arrangements for operating 450 extra buses from February 23 to 26.

BENGALURU:In view of the Maha Shivaratri festival on Saturday, KSRTC has made elaborate arrangements for operating 450 extra buses from February 23 to 26.

These buses will operate from Bengaluru Kempegowda Bus Station to Dharmastala, Kukkesubramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Sringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Koppala, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupathi, Pavagada and Hosadurga.

Special buses from Mysuru Road Bus Station will operate towards Mysuru, Hunsur, Piriyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalnagar and Madikeri.
All premier special buses will operate from Shanthinagar BMTC bus stand to Madurai, Kumbakonam, Tiruchy, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirupathi, Vijayawada,Hyderabad and other places in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

Advanced reservation
Special buses with advance reservation will operate from Vijayanagara, J P Nagar, Jayanagar 4th block and 9th block, Jalahalli Cross, Navarang (Rajajinagar) and Malleshwaram 18th Cross. Also, from Kengeri Satellite Town to Shivamogga, Davangere, Tirupathi, Mangaluru, Kundapur, Sringeri, Horanadu, Kukkesubramanya and Dharmasthala.
Those towards North West Karnataka (Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi and Karwar) will operate from Mysuru Road Bus Station.
Buses without advance reservation will operate from Kempegowda Bus Station.
Special buses towards North East Karnataka (Kalaburagi, Ballari, Raichur, Hosapete, Koppal, Yadgir and Bidar) having advance reservation will operate from Sri Basaweshwara Bus Station (Peenya). Buses without advance reservation will operate from Kempegowda Bus Station.

Online booking
Tickets can be booked online in advance for the special buses. Reserved passengers should note the place of boarding in their ticket. Passengers can book tickets on www.ksrtc.in. Advance reservation can be done through 148 counters in Bengaluru, 18 in Mysuru and 34 in Mangaluru and other 230 computerised reservation counters of KSRTC located in other places in Karnataka.
Tickets can be booked through KSRTC booking counters in TN, AP, Telangana, Kerala, Puducherry, Maharashtra and Goa.  Buses will also operate from all taluk and district bus stands in the jurisdiction of KSRTC.
