KSRTC bags national e-governance award

Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation has received Centre’s Information Technology award during the 20th National Conference on e-Governance in Vishakhapatnam on Tuesday.  

BENGALURU: Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation has received Centre’s Information Technology award during the 20th National Conference on e-Governance in Vishakhapatnam on Tuesday.  

Rajender Kumar Kataria, Managing Director, the transport agency received the ‘National e-Governance 2016-17 Gold Award’ from P P Chaudhary, Union Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology under the category of ‘Innovative use of ICT by State Government PSUS / Co-operatives/Federations/ Societies’.

A press release from KSRTC, said, “Since the inception of this Award, none of the State Road Transport organisation has won National e-Governance Gold Award (except during the year 2009-10 KSRTC has won Silver National e-Governance award).

The national e-governance award is instituted to recognise and promote excellence in implementation of e-governance initiatives.

Awards are presented every year during national conference on e-Governance.
