Six arrested for stripping, assaulting women in Bengaluru

Six persons including four women were arrested for allegedly stripping and assaulting a mother and her daughter.

BENGALURU: Six persons including four women were arrested for allegedly stripping and assaulting a mother and her daughter, on Friday. The accused allegedly threw chilli powder on private parts of the victims.

The incident is said to have occurred on January 15. The accused -- Khaseem (32), Yasin taj (34), Indramma (52), Imran Pasha (28), Zabi Ullah (33) and another person - whose name police has not revealed yet are reportedly part of a woman’s organisation.

According to the police, a boy and the kin of the victims, was in love with a girl belonging to the family of the assailants.
 
 Learning about the same, the accused planned to assault the boy. He, however, decided to hide in the house of the victims. Yet, the accused learned about the whereabouts of the boy and came to Nandini layout where the victims resided. Since the boy was not found in the house, the accused directed their anger at the victims, stripped their clothes and assaulted them. They also kidnapped the woman and her daughter, took them to an isolated place near K R Puram and assaulted them again.
 
A complaint was registered at Nandini Layout Police Station and the police arrested the accused. Investigations are underway.
