BENGALURU: A directory of eminent Telugu-speaking personalities residing in Karnataka was released at an event in Town Hall on Sunday.
The event was attended by Telugu-speaking politicians and bureaucrats such as MLA Muniratna, Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy, Rajya Sabha MP K C Ramamurthy and others.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was also scheduled to attend the event, but had to give it a miss reportedly due to other commitments.
While most speakers at the event addressed the audience in Telugu, Reddy and Ramamurthy spoke in Kannada. Reddy said there were many Telugu speakers in the state and more events like these would help them come together. Ramamurthy said Kannada had been deeply ingrained in him and Reddy as they had studied in Kannada medium schools.
