Gold, Rs 12,000 stolen from IAS officer’s house in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: Miscreants broke into the residence of senior IAS officer Subodh Yadav at Sanjaynagar on Sunday night. The incident came to light when the officer’s driver came to the house to find the lock of a rear door broken and alerted the police.


Police said Yadav and his family had gone to Chennai on Sunday morning and the incident took place in the night. The burglars escaped with gold and `12,000 cash. The family has been residing at the house for four years. Police said initial investigations revealed that cash and valuables were missing.

There are no CCTV cameras on the property and those familiar to the family may have been involved, said police.
