 A 26-year-old software engineer committed suicide by hanging at his house in Agrahara Dasarahalli near Kamakshipalya on Magadi Road. The incident took place on Sunday night.

BENGALURU: A 26-year-old software engineer committed suicide by hanging at his house in Agrahara Dasarahalli near Kamakshipalya on Magadi Road. The incident took place on Sunday night and the exact reason behind him taking the extreme step is not yet known.The deceased has been identified as Sharath Kumar, who was working at a private firm in Vijaynagar. Sharath was married to Navya Jyothi in February and she had gone to her parent’s house for Aashada. His parents are landlords and have a residential complex where the family lives. They were asleep at the time of the incident.

On Monday morning, when his mother Soumya called him for breakfast, there was no response from the room, which was locked from inside. She subsequently alerted the neighbours who broke open the door, only to find the engineer hanging. He left a suicide note, stating no one was responsible for his death.
Magadi Road police registered a case and stated the couple had no differences. He had not shared about any problem he was facing at work. Jyothi was about to return home on Tuesday.
