BENGALURU: IN a first for the city, a two-month-old baby, suffering from acute bronchitis, was airlifted from MS Ramaiah Memorial Hospital on New BEL Road to Narayana Health City in Elecronics City on Monday morning. 

The baby had been in the ICU for the past two days and was brought to Narayana Health City for further treatment. The air ambulance landed in Narayana Health City around 10:45am and covered the distance (about 32km) in just seven minutes. 

The baby was shifted to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit immediately. Currently, the baby is on treatment and under close observation of Dr Hiremath Sagar, consultant pediatric intensivist and pediatrician, Narayana Health City.
