BENGALURU: The Bangalore Central and Bangalore North Universities which were constituted in the trifurcation process of Bangalore University have got vice-chancellors.
The Higher Education Department issued orders appointing V-Cs for both the universities. The special officers have been appointed as V-Cs.
Prof Kemparaju, who was working as the special officer for Bengaluru North University, has been appointed as the V-C of the same university and Prof Japhet, who was working as the special officer of Bangalore Central, has been appointed as V-C of the same university.
Both the universities have been asked to begin the process of functioning independently at least from the 2018-19 academic year.
