BENGALURU: A 34-year-old woman on Saturday filed a case of rape against her husband and three other men who, she claimed, had forced her into a vehicle and took her to a dilapidated house where they sexually assaulted her.
Bharatinagar police said the complainant, a resident of K R Puram, was found unconscious at Bamboo Bazar near Shivajinagar on Friday. Passersby rushed her to Bowring hospital. The doctor who examined her informed the police.
“The woman is not in a condition to record her statement as she undergoing treatment. A case has been filed under IPC 376 (punishment for rape). We are looking for the suspects.” A senior police officer said that during preliminary investigations, the woman said that she had earlier filed a harassment case against her second husband. She has a daughter and a son and her second husband had allegedly taken her son.
She had a dispute with the husband over this. Police said she had also filed a case against a garment shop owner in Yelahanka where she worked. They had a dispute over a financial issue, police said.
