BENGALURU: The management of Oriental English High School has lodged a complaint with the Vidyaranyapura police station after a man claiming to be a parent abused the staff of the school stating they had asked RTE quota students to pay for the uniform and other essentials.

The school said that Jayaprakash, an activist of Janata Dal party, entered the school premises on May 24 around 11am without permission from school authorities.

On being questioned, he told the management that he was a parent who was visiting the school to seek admission for his child.

He got into a verbal spat with the school staff arguing that it was incorrect to collect money from a child admitted under RTE quota for school bags, shoes, uniform, text books or stationery.

Following the incident, the school wrote to Vidyaranyapura police for protection bearing the security of 600 students in mind.
