Karnataka girls outshine boys in ICSE, ISC exams

Karnataka students have aced the ICSE and ISC examinations with a pass percentage of 99.8, and 99.04 respectively. Girls have outshined boys in both Class X and Class XII results.

BENGALURU: Karnataka students have aced the ICSE and ISC examinations with a pass percentage of 99.8, and 99.04 respectively. Girls have outshined boys in both Class X and Class XII results.


Ashwin Rao, a student of St Paul English School, Bengaluru, scored 99.4 per cent in his Class X exams and is ranked a topper for India. Nicole Marielle Joseph from Mallya Aditi International School, Bengaluru, topped the Class XII exam in the state with 98.5 per cent.


The ICSE examination was conducted in 57 written subjects - 22 Indian languages and nine foreign languages.The ISC examination was conducted in 50 written subjects - 16 Indian languages and five foreign languages. This year, 15,370 students from Class X and 1,356 from Class XII had appeared for the exams from Karnataka.
