Seven peddlers arrested in two separate cases

In two separate cases, south east division police have seized 22kg of marijuana in the city and have arrested seven persons.

BENGALURU: In two separate cases, south east division police have seized 22kg of marijuana in the city and have arrested seven persons.In the first case, Mico Layout police have arrested a five-member inter-state gang which used to sell Marijuana in pan beeda shops. Police have siezed 7kg of marijuana from them. The arrested are Rahul Kumar Yadav (24), Ramdin Jadhav  (28), Shyam Kumar Yadav (21), all natives of Bihar and Dhanesh  (23) and Shabbu (23) from Uttar Pradesh.

Police said prime accused Rahul used to buy marijuana from one Dileep from Singasandra and then share it with other accused who run beeda shops in the city.In the other case, Mico Layout police arrested Mohammed Ashraf (25) and Rajesh (24), natives of Kannur in Kerala and residents of Hennur. The  accused used to smuggle marijuana from Vishakapatanam in AP and sell it to students and techies in the city. The accused had 15 kg marijuana and 100 grams of charas when they were arrested.
