BENGALURU: Emergency services continued their search for Lingamma who was washed away on Friday, but to no avail.The rescue officials said that they conducted operations till Shanmangala which is at a distance of 30 km from where she was washed away with her daughter.
On Friday, Lingamma (47) and her daughter Pushpa were coming out of their waterlogged house in Kurubarahalli when they fell into the drain around 5.45 pm. The 22-year-old Pushpa’s body was found on Sunday, in Kumbalgodu, about 15 km away from the spot where she fell. However, Lingamma’s body is yet to be recovered. The operations from Kumbalagodu to Shanamangala continued. A distance of around 10 km was covered by the two teams. The operations will continue on Tuesday as well.
