BENGALURU: Following revelations that data had been skimmed from ATM cards at kiosks over two weeks, Citibank has assured that no data of its customers was stolen.
Two foreign nationals were arrested on Tuesday on charges of installing skimming devices at five ATM kiosks. The Citibank ATM at Garuda Mall was among the affected ATMs as per the police.
However, in a statement, Citibank’s spokesperson said, “Security of our customer information is of paramount importance to Citi. To the best of our understanding, there has been no compromise of any customer data due to this fraudulent activity.”
