BENGALURU: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) on Tuesday dismissed the petition filed by Hassan Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri Dasari against the transfer order passed by the state government.

On March 7, Sindhuri was transferred as Commissioner of Department of Employment and Training.

At first, she moved CAT against transfer but it asked her to submit representation to Chief Secretary on the matter.

Therefore she moved high court against the CAT order on the ground that the tribunal's order is against the principle of natural justice as it had asked her to submit the representation to the chief secretary, who passed the transfer order on the instructions of Chief Minister.

She also contended that the chief minister asked the chief secretary to transfer her owing to pressure of local political leaders in Hassan as she curbed the mining mafia in the district.

On hearing this, the high court had remanded back the matter to CAT to consider afresh and pass the order. The high court also asked the state to maintain the status quo till the CAT passed the order and she continued as Deputy Commissioner of Hassan.

Accordingly, CAT heard the matter and dismissed her petition today.

Now, Sindhuri is likely to move high court again and challenge the CAT order.
