BENGALURU: The state government is taking steps to fill up as many as 2,52,625 posts that is lying vacant in various departments. Agriculture Minister Krishna Byre Gowda said that shortly, 30,152 posts will be filled, and process is on to appoint 17,000 people. Of the 7,73,454 sanctioned posts — 5,20,829 posts were filled — 58,004 official and 4,62,825 staff. On appointments under 371(J) of the Indian constitution for residents of Hyderabad-Karnataka region, he said of the 44,041 posts, 33,024 people will be hired under direct appointment.
