BENGALURU: Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Bengaluru is gearing up for ‘Utopia 2018’– The International Cultural Fest starting tomorrow. The theme that underlies Utopia 2018 is ‘Eclectica’, which translates to ‘Diversified Unity’.
With the rhythm of many nations resonating across the campus, SIBM Bengaluru will be the instrument that unifies and celebrates the cultural diversity from across the globe. Organised by the International Relations Committee of SIBM B, the event aims to bring together students from different nationalities onto one platform. Since its inception, Utopia been a medium to facilitate and strengthen the bond between Indian and foreign students, encouraging mutual learning and inspiration.
In the past, the event has seen participation of 598 students from 23 countries Founder of Symbiosis International University, Padma Bhushan Dr SB Mujumdar, the brainchild behind the idea ‘Home away from Home’ for International students, is an earnest believer of this very thought. Every year, Utopia coincides with his birthday and allows students across the world to relive his dream of an inclusive world.
As part of the fest, a blood donation camp has also been organised on the same day. The year, the aim is to break the previous record of collecting 226 units of blood. The fest will be held at SIBM Bengaluru, Electronic City Phase-1, Hosur Road, on July 31 from 9am to 9pm.
