CHENNAI: Indian doctors are studying the usage of silver particles as an immediate cure for malaria.

An experiment to this effect is being carried out across the African continent spearheaded by a group of  Indian doctors, said Dr BN Hegde, former vice chancellor of Manipal University.

“We did not have the permission from the government to carry out this study in India and hence we are doing it across the African continent,” said Hegde speaking to the media here on Wednesday.

“We had administered silver nano water (water treated with silver) to 100 patients and we got 100 per cent results in curing Malaria within three days,” he said.

At present, the silver nano water is produced by only one American company and the cost for the same was  also pretty high.

The doctors were looking for techniques to produce the silver water in India at cheaper rates.

“In America, a 100 ml bottle of the silver water costs $10. But we will soon be producing the same at Rs. 5 per bottle.

“We are also planning to pass on the know-how of the silver water preparation to the public so that the cure is instant,” said Dr. Hegde.

Speaking at a conference on energy medicine organised by the Diabetes Research Centre of the Voluntary Health Services, Hegde said that organ based medication is dying a slow death. “We are making way for

holistic medicine that cures the entire body,” he said.
