CHENNAI: Defending his client and leader of the Naam Tamilar Katchi Seeman, advocate Tada Chandrasekar on Thursday said that the charges levelled by certain opposition forces against the leader were a bid to tarnish his image and hinder his growth in the political sphere.
A complaint was lodged with CoP J K Tripathy against Seeman by actor Vijayalakshmi, alleging that he dumped her after promising to marry her. The actor also alleged that Seeman was in a relationship with her for three years. The advocate also added that a `5 crore defamation suit would be filed against Vijayalakshmi in this regard.According to Chandrasekar, the plot was hatched by certain enemy groups to defame Seeman with the help of the actor following the Naam Tamilar leader’s decisive role in defeating the Congress in the State polls. He added that he would produce evidence to disprove her claim.
