Mahindra World School wins sanitation award

Mahindra World School, set up under the aegis of the Mahindra World School Educational Trust (founded by the Mahindra Group) recently received the National School Sanitation Award 2012.

The school was ranked among the top 6 schools of India, and was at the top position in Tamil Nadu at the awards instituted by the Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE) in association with the Ministry of Human Resources Development, the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India, and Deutsche Gesellschaftfür Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (formerly known as GTZ). 

Nirmala Krishnan, Principal, Mahindra World School, received the award, on behalf of the school, from MM Pallam Raju, Minister for Human Resource Development. Receiving the award, Nirmala said, “We are delighted to receive this prestigious award which aims to inculcate good sanitation habits among school children.”
