The Bharath University (BU) on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the East Asia Institute of Management (EAIM), an agreement that is set to facilitate dual-degree programmes and improved technical collaboration.
Addressing a press conference following the signing of the pact, K P Thooyamani, Vice-Chancellor of BU, said such tie-ups with internationally-reputed institutions would provide exposure to Indian students to wider knowledge.
The EAIM, he said, would bring to the table state-of-the-art management techniques that would enhance the working knowledge of students.
The MoU will allow both institutions to engage in dual-degree programmes, exchange programmes for teachers and students and joint academic punlications.
Soon Kian Andrew Chua, founder and chairman of the EAIM, said that the confluence of knowledge available with both institutions would help leverage the resources available with both the institutions. He said students in Singapore would benefit from this tie-up, for sure.
