'Klub' for Corporate IT Heads Turns Two

CIO Klub, an association of IT heads of corporates entities around India, observed their second anniversary in the city over the weekend. The anniversary function of the ‘klub’ was inaugurated by T K Rajaraman, the managing director of Chennai Metro Rail.

CIO Klub, an association of IT heads of corporates entities around India, observed their second anniversary in the city over the weekend. The anniversary function of the ‘klub’ was inaugurated by T K Rajaraman, the managing director of Chennai Metro Rail.

The Klub conducted a special quiz programme for various company teams of the CIO. Conducted by the Quiz Foundation of India, it was themed on relevant history-based issues.

The anniversary function also included a special lecture by Computer Science professor V Kamakoti. He highlighted the various aspects of information security and said, “Information security awareness is substantially needed among today’s industry. The key to achieving this is through industry-academia collaboration in the IT industry”.

President of the Klub, T Jaganathan, said that the main aim of the Klub was to impart industry-oriented education to the younger generation. “We conducted several events during the year that reflected the objectives of networking, knowledge-sharing and other educational initiatives,” he further added.

The Klub’s Chennai chapter also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu to facilitate their academic outreach programs to engineering college students by being a knowledge partner.
