The eco-friendly water filter made up of Nano clay drew special attention at the one-day mela 'Mannvaasanai', organised by the Aseema Trust here on Wednesday. The mela also witnessed a special performance by Therukkoothu artistes.

The Aseema Trust, an organisation working towards building bridges between traditional performing arts and education, had organised the mela at Valluvar Kottam. An eco-friendly water filter Natural Terafil, brought out by Custom Parts Online, caught the attention of many.  Speaking to City Express, Chandrasekar, CEO, Custom Parts Online said, “ The filter has terafils made up of nano clay, which has durability up to six years.

The uniqueness of the filter is that it filters only the pathogens, iron and arsenic, and gives clear water, whereas the other filters, which have the RO facility filters good salt as well."

Vasantha Parthasarathy, Coordinator, Mannvaasanai, said, “Every year, on Gandhiji’s death anniversary, we conduct a one-day event on different themes. This year, it is the rural theme.”
