Southern Railway has announced 90 special trains to clear the extra rush during the Sabarimala seasons. The reservation for the trains would commence on November 20. Chennai Central- Kollam Superfast Weekly Special (via. Coimbatore) & Kollam- Chennai Central Weekly Special (via. Coimbatore): Train number 06001 Chennai Central- Kollam Superfast Weekly Special will leave Chennai Central at 3.15 pm on Mondays on 25th November, 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th December 2013 and 6th, 13th, 20th January 2014 and arrive at Kollam at 5.45 am on Tuesdays. In the return direction Train number 06002 Kollam- Chennai Central Weekly Special will leave Kollam at 10.45 am on Tuesdays on 26th November, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st December 2013 and on 7th, 14th, 21st January 2014 and arrive at Chennai Central at 3.45 am on Wednesdays. The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Gudiyattam, Vaniyambadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur,Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara and Kayankulam. T.No.06002 will stop at Perambur also. Nagercoil- Chennai Egmore Superfast Weekly Special (via.Vridhachalam) & Chennai Egmore- Nagercoil Weekly Special (via.Chennai Central, Coimbatore, Thiruvananthapuram): Train Number 06310 Nagercoil- Chennai Egmore Superfast Weekly Special will leave Nagercoil at 7.40 pm on Tuesdays on 26th November, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st December 2013 and 7th, 14th, 21st January 2014 and arrive at Chennai Egmore at 8.50 am on Wednesdays. The trains will stop at Valliyur, Tirunelveli, Kovilpatti, Satur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli, Vridhachalam, Villupuram, Melmaruvathur, Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Mambalam. Train Number 06309 Chennai Egmore - Nagercoil Junction weekly special will leave Chennai Egmore at 11.00 am on Wednesdays on 27th November, 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th December 2013 and 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd January 2014 and arrive at Nagercoil Junction at 6.55 am on Thursdays. The trains will stop at Chennai Central, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Gudiyattam, Vaniyambadi, Jolarpettai, Morappur, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayankulam, Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram Central, Neyyattinkara, Kulitturai and Eraniel. Kochuveli- Chennai Central Weekly Special & Chennai Central - Kochuveli Superfast Weekly Special: Train number 06316 Kochuveli- Chennai Central Weekly Special will leave Kochuveli at 3.35 pm on Fridays on 29th November, 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th December 2013 and 3rd, 10th, 17th , 24th January 2014 and arrive Chennai Central at 8.30 am on Saturdays. Train number 06315 Chennai Central- Kochuveli Superfast Weekly Special will leave Chennai Central at 3.15 pm on Saturdays on 30th November, 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th December 2013 and on 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th January 2014 and arrive Kochuveli at 6.50 am on Sundays. The trains will stop at Quilon, Kayankulam, Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrisur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Vaniyambadi, Gudiyattam, Katpadi and Arakkonam.
T.No.06316 will stop at Perambur also. Kochuveli- Chennai Central - Kochuveli Weekly Special: Train number 06318 Kochuveli- Chennai Central Weekly Special will leave Kochuveli at 8.15 pm on Mondays on 25th November, 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th December 2013 and 6th, 13th, 20th January 2014 and arrive Chennai Central at 1.15 pm on Tuesdays. Train number No.06317 Chennai Central- Kochuveli Weekly Special will leave Chennai Central at 5.30 pm on Tuesdays on 26th November, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st December 2013 and on 7th, 14th, 21st January 2014 and arrive Kochuveli at 10.30 am on Wednesdays. The trains will stop at Kollam, Kayankulam, Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrisur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Vaniyambadi, Gudiyattam, Katpadi and Arakkonam. T.No.06318 will stop at Perambur also. Kochuveli - Mangalore Junction Weekly Special & Mangalore Junction - Kochuveli Weekly Superfast Special: Train number 06304 Kochuveli - Mangalore Junction Weekly Special will leave Kochuveli at 4.00 pm on Wednesdays on 27th November, on 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th December 2013 and 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd January 2014 and arrive at Mangalore Junction at 5.15 am on Thursdays. Train number 06303 Mangalore Junction- Kochuveli Weekly Superfast Special will leave Mangalore Junction at 12.05 pm on Thursdays on 28th November, 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th December 2013 and 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd January 2014 and arrive Kochuveli at 12.30am on Fridays. The trains will stop at Kollam, Kayankulam, Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrisur, Shoranur Jn. Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod. Advance reservation for the special trains will commence on Wednesday (November 20), said Chief Public Relations Officer, Southern Railway in a press release.
