As part of the Deepavali celebrations, BSNL is putting forth festive offers that are sure to bring a smile on the faces of its customers, this festive season.
At the inauguration of BSNL Mega Mela, various schemes that will be available during this festive season were detailed.
For customers planning to buy a new mobile, there are attractive offers. They can get `20 worth sim card free along with a talk time of `20. Under a plan—new simple plan 100, customers can pay `100 and avail a simcard with initial validity of 180 days.
There is a special offer regarding Mobile TV where customers will get 30 channels free on their mobile phone for 15 days, besides caller tunes free for a period of 15 days.
This time, BSNL is also offering a discount of `250 on installation charges for new landlines. In addition, BSNL Chennai telephones has slashed its ISD calling rates by 75 per cent.
On the sidelines of the carnival inauguration, CGM A Balasubramanian Chennai Circle said that they have 24 lakh subscribers and around 69 per cent of the landline market is captured by BSNL.
“Out of 8 lakh landline connections around, 3.5 lakh connections are broadband connections. It is slightly on the negative side as people are surrendering the broadband connections. With mobile subscribers, we have roughly 15 lakh consumers and through this mela we hope to give customers more reasons to look towards BSNL,” he added.
The CGM along with other dignitaries lit the traditional lamp and declared the opening of the mela. The mela is set to run from till November 9 and offers can be availed at 45 customer service centers and retailer points across Chennai.
