It was a fun filled morning for the students of DG Vaishnav College, as they lined up to register for Manovikas 2014, the cultural event of the college’s Commerce Department.

Speaking at the inauguration, Sunder Rajan recollected that it was not just education that taught him to be what he was today. He said that anubhava kalvi or working experience was also a big help.

Senthamaraikannan emphasised the need for cultural activities to be part of the curriculum as he said that will help mellow the volatile nature of man.

Principal Dr S Narasimhan said that D G Vaishnav college offered a platform to younger generations to identify their potential and skills. Students of the Commerce department also telecast a short film titled Irandam Karuvarai (A Second Womb).
